More on Insurance Basics

Home / Insurance Resources / Insurance 101 / More on Insurance Basics

IIK’s Insurance 101 document has a great deal of information, but it is not comprehensive. Therefore, we have included two documents produced by national trade associations, each of which serves as an excellent complement to our Insurance 101. We also have provided a resource from Insurance Information Institute that contains a wealth of insurance-related information.

In addition, we have provided links to national organizations which can provide additional information on a variety of insurance topics.

Additional Resources:

See our links to national trade associations here.

Information Resources:

  • Insurance 101 (PCI)
Insurance 101 from PCI is a conference presentation that was modified by PCI with information specific to Kentucky.
  • Insurance 101: Property Casualty Basics (AIA)
Insurance 101 from AIA appeared in the January/February 2009 issue of The Advocate published by AIA.
  • Insurance Fact Book 2012 (III)
III’s Fact book includes hundreds of tables and charts on the workings of the insurance industry and its effect on the state, national, and world economies.
